What's New for now???

Well..... Still in the packing and the moving mode still. Have a new place, and will be fully moved in Sept. (Thank GOD!!!)

As for Aug. Got 2 Comic Cons to go too in the last 2 weekends.

First up is the WIZARD WORLD "CHICAGO" COMIC CON AUG 19 to 22. Will be there to draw & make connections for my artwork & inkings.

Then in the following week will be at BALTIMORE COMIC-CON AUG. 28,29. Will be at the 21ST CENTURY SANDSHARK STUDIO table with fellow comic artist.

I will be handing out to artists interest, a free inking card. Good for one free ink job on a cover or pin-up artwork. See me at the cons for the details.

Welcome New Followers to my Blog

Hello all! And welcome to my Blog site! Those of you that are from FA!

Here you will see the next level of artwork as I start to go back the style of comic book artwork. Character Images for Marvel & DC Comics. As well my own comic heroes & villains, including my furry ones. "World of Titans, Muscle-Mates, Minotaur Chronicles, Antro-Heroes vs Villains.

Man-Wolf/StarGod by George Perez & Tim Dzon

One of my Fan Favorite Artist that inspired me into the Comic Book Field.

Always loved George Perez's artwork. One convention in 1990, I met him in person and got some books signed. I asked him if he had any of those "Man-Wolf" artwork from any of his books. Unfortunately he was dealing with a art dealer and had no artwork with him.

To my surprise, he asked me if I had any art bristol with me. I did, and overnight he penciled this wonderful piece of artwork.

To me.. this was a piece of gold. And for years couldn't get the nerve to ink it till around the 2000 year, which I inked in the style of quills.

But I took and kept a detail scan of the pencils. Which I printed up a blue-line on bristol paper to do this nice re-ink work in my current comic style of inks which I did last night.

VA Comicon in Richmond

While attending a local comic book convention. VA Comicon in Richmond. A fan commissioned me to do a Conan sketch on 11 x 17 comic book page. Did this in 3 hours. Not bad for a con sketch. :-)

Something old.. But new?

An old inking sample I did awhile back. When I was doing traditional quills & brush inkings. I found some new and different art tools and did this type of inkings on a John Romita Jr. page.

I still use these art tools for my inking styles. Adding them to my tools of the trade.

Hulk convention sketch

A Hulk Convention sketch I drew up at a local comic book con. I just finished the inks tonight, and posted it at "Comic Art Fans" site.

Will have this piece at the comicon in Richmond Va. May 23. Come say hi. Will be signing books and doing con sketches.

Inking of Hulk ACEO Trading Card

Had a great time this past Sunday at the Comic Con held in George Mason University campus in Fairfax Virgina.

Met some old friends from the comic field that I use to work with in the 80's & 90's. And talk to some new and upcoming artists as well.

I was also handing out my business card that has an offer of a free comic cover or pin-up page inking for free. Just trying to get the word out that I am still here in the field of comics.

The above image is a "Hulk aceo trading card" Penciled by artist Bill Meiggs that I meet at the comic con. He had his artwork out and alot of Aceo cards as well. His did a rendering of the "Hulk" that I like and asked if he could do one in pencil for me to ink. And here is the results of our 2 styles. You can see "Bill's artwork" at deviantart...

Con Badges for Anthrocon

The above artwork is a sample of what I will be doing at the Anthrocon in Pittsburgh, PA June 24-27, 2010. This will be my 3rd year at Anthro where you can catch me in the Artist Alley & The Zoo Room. Doing all types of artwork for the fans there. So check me out.

I am thinking of doing some Con Badges pre-orders in May for those badge collectors. What do you fans out there think? Will be coming up with a package offer that will be unique as a pre-order deal.

May 1st & 2nd. Where I will be going about..

May 1st is free comic book day as everyone knows. Will be going to get my free stuff while picking up my weekly comics.

Also, on May 2nd. Will be going to the Comic book con at George Mason University in Fairfax VA Sunday to see what going on and what deals I can get. Hanging out there from 10 am to 5 pm.

Year 45!!

Today I am still alive at 45 years of age. Another birthday here and will see what happens this year!

What I am planning to do this day & the weekend is up in the air.
